Dr. Wesley G Schooler is an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He has also served as the Service Chief Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at LAC-USC Medical Center since 2008. Dr. Schooler is board certified in both Plastic Surgery and General Surgery. Dr. Schooler’ s clinical interests include breast reconstruction, aesthetic breast surgery, hand surgery and complex reconstructive procedures.
Dr. Schooler earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also completed training in General Surgery and Critical Care. He went on to complete a residency in Plastic Surgery at the University of California San Francisco, followed by a fellowship in Orthopaedic Hand Surgery and Microsurgery at the Hand Center of San Antonio.
Dr. Schooler practices the full spectrum of plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery with focuses in breast reconstruction, secondary breast revision surgery and reconstructive microsurgery. He has a particular interest in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast and body for different ethnic skin and features. He also specializes in the full spectrum of hand surgery for traumatic and acquired deformities of the bones and soft tissue.
Dr. Schooler has a dedication for the educational advancement of Plastic Surgery training, serving as the associate program director for the USC Plastic Surgery Residency Program and authoring numerous book chapters and scientific articles.
